Labor Day Camping Trip

We had a wonderful time camping this past weekend. As you can see we had quite the group. There were 18 of us total. It was great to see so many family members in one weekend. All of the Emerson Grandkids were there and that was fun.
Our campsite was quite the vision. We reserved 3 sites. 2 were used for tents and 1 was used for cooking/eating/hanging out. The sites we used for tents were quite funny. We definitely were close to each other this weekend.

Saturday some of the group went to the lake beach for a swim. The water was cold and the bottom of the lake was very rocky. It was nice to be in the water, though.

Sunday we went for a hike. It was a little more difficult to get to the "easy" trail than we expected, but we had a nice walk. Some of us continued on and hiked another trail. Madeline fell asleep in the backpack for a good part of the second hike.

Other than that we spent the rest of the time playing cornhole, cards, and just hanging out. It was a great trip. I think there might be plans in the works to do it again next year.
