Milestones

In the last week we have had a couple of milestone moments. In light of today being Kaitlyn's and Hunter's due date, I thought I would take a few minutes to share the latest information, and of course, post some new pictures.

First, Madeline had her 2-year well-baby visit. I can't believe she is going to be 2 years old in less than a month. Where has the time gone? Her appointment went well. The doctor said she looks healthy and is developing as she should. Her weight was 29 pounds and she was 36 inches tall. I have noticed a huge jump in her language development over the last few weeks. She is beginning to put words together to form simple phrases and is much more conversant. She is totally into role-playing, too. She loves to play with her baby doll and pretend to take care of her just like Mommy. It is such fun to watch the changes.

Second, Hunter and Kaitlyn had their 3-month well-baby visit as well as their first NICU grad appointment. Kaitlyn continues to have regular eye exams, too. As of yesterday, Kaitlyn's weight was 6 lb. 15 oz. and Hunter's weight was 8 lb. 15 oz. Kaitlyn's eyes continue to improve very slowly. The ophthalmologist will continue to monitor their development. The neonatologist is happy with the twins development and says they are growing in a way that he would like to see in every NICU baby.
