Both babies have started bottle-feeding. They are receiving bottles two times a day. It hasn't been the smoothest start, but I'm sure as the next few days go on, they will increase their stamina and become more and more successful. They were able to completely finish a bottle today, so hopefully, they are on the right track.
Kaitlyn and Hunter continue to gain weight. As of last night, Kaitlyn weighed 5 pounds 1.5 ounces and Hunter weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces.
Kaitlyn had another head ultrasound done last week. The results of the ultrasound showed no change. There is still some swelling in the brain, and doctors seem to think that it may be permanent. That does not mean that there is any permanent damage. They will conduct another ultrasound in 3 weeks and will also perform an MRI before she comes home. The MRI will be able to give a better indication as to whether or not there is any damage. Even still, only time will tell as to what, and if, there are any long-term results of the bleed.
They both had hearing tests done over the weekend and both had results within normal limits. They had eye exams done today. Hunter's came back normal, but Kaitlyn's showed some premature retinopathy. What this means is that the blood vessels in the eyes are not developing quite like they should. The doctors will watch this and perform another eye exam sometime next week. They will perform another eye exam on Hunter in two weeks.

Sweet pictures! Is it weird that I want to come over and hold them when they come home? (Leave my babies with Daddy) It already seems so long since mine were that little, even though it was only 8 months ago! They look like they are doing so well. YAY babies! :)
